Gift-giving programme “For childhood happiness”

BTO –The provincial Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Branch of Binh Thuan province and office of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee on October 10 co-organized a charity programme themed “For childhood happiness” to offer hundreds of gifts and scholarships to disadvantaged students in the communes of Me Pu (Duc Linh district) and Nghi Duc (Tanh Linh district). The programme took place in the presence of Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Duong Van An and Deputy head of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee’s Office Dao Quang Dung.

At the event, 400 gifts, 20 bikes and 50 scholarships were presented. On that occasion, the Youth union cadres paid visits to present gifts to Vietnamese heroic mothers Nguyen Thi Nhien (92 year old) and Nguyen Thi Nhung (94 year old) in Nghi Duc commune.

Earlier, the same programme was also held in La Gi town with 100 gifts and 5 bikes offered to poor studious students. The total value of this charity programme is about VND 150 million donated by enterprises and organizations in Ho Chi Minh city.
