Applying advanced irrigation technology

BTO- The efficient use of water in the on-farm irrigation systems, rasing production value, and sustainable agricultural development, People’s Committee of Binh Thuan province have made a plan to apply advanced water-saving irrigation methods instead of traditional irrigation.
Using the advanced methods will save water and reduce disease, labor costs fertilizers, other agricultural chemicals… Growers easily make agricultural mechanization and automation for quality improvement, which make their income high and efficient use of water.
As it is planned, the Advanced water-saving irrigation methods will be applied to 11,649 hectares (in 2017), 13,755 hectares (2018), 15,840 hectares (2019) and 18,285 hectares (2020) in districs, town, city (not including Phu Quy district); especially in the cultivation of staple crops like dragon fruit, mango, ppeper, cashew, custard apple, citrus…
