Binh Thuan: Over 1,300 youths join the army
BTO- In the morning of March
3rd, see-off ceremonies were solemnly held in many localities in Binh Thuan
province for 1,302 youngsters to join the army. The events took place under the
model of meaningful and quick ceremonies under the direction of the General
Staff of Vietnam People’s Army in prevention of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Accordingly, in 2021, Binh
Thuan has selected 1,302 young citizens eligible for military services
(including 2 female soldiers) and 244 others for people’s police services. The
qualification of newly- recruited servicemen in this year is higher than that of
the previous year, particularly in terms of health quality, with 57% of new
soldiers gaining the level 1 &2. Citizens aged from 18-20 account for nearly
90%. 13% of new recruits graduated from universities/colleges/vocational
intermediate schools; 17 young soldiers are members of the Communist Party of
Vietnam.
Earlier, local authorities
have well performed work relating to selection and calling up on youths to join
the army. Especially, all new soldiers were tested for Covid-19 before
implementing their army services. As planned, those young soldiers of Binh Thuan
will performed military services in the following units: Navy Region 4 (220),
the 2nd Corps (200), the Military Academy of Military Region 7 (2 female
soldiers), Binh Thuan provincial Military Command (190); 302nd Infantry Division
(310); National Shooting field 3 (70); 25th Combat Engineer Brigade (50); 96th
Artillery Brigade (50); Binh Thuan provincial Border Guard Command (110); and
77th Air Defense Brigade (100).
