Binh Thuan makes  effort to repatriate Chinese tourists

BTO- The provincial People’s Committee lately sent a document to Ministry of Culture-Sports & Tourism to request the coordination from ministries and functional agencies in helping send back home Chinese tourists stuck in some localities (including Binh Thuan) return home.

Binh Thuan also suggested central agencies to direct provinces/cities to take close management on visitors coming from China to prevent the spread of acute respiratory disease caused by the new strain of coronavirus (Covid-19).

According to report updated on February 6, Binh Thuan records the presence of about 696 Chinese citizens (including 290 tourists). Tourism companies in Binh Thuan have strictly implemented the directions of functional bodies on the prevention of Covid-19. On February 1, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAA) decided to temporarily suspend all flights from and to China as part of measures to control the spread of the Covid-19. However, some stranded Chinese visitors have traveled to other localities (including Binh Thuan), triggering concern and difficulties for the province in controlling the deadly virus.
