Province’s leaders visited, congratulated religious facilities on Christmas 2020

BTO- Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Duong Van An on December 21 led a delegation of the provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee and Committee for Vietnam Fatherland Front to pay visits and extend best Christmas wishes to Catholic Diocese of Phan Thiet city and Priest Antone Ho Tan Kha in Vinh Phu Parish (Phan Thiet city).

At the visiting places, Mr. Duong Van An warmly wished  Catholic Priests, monks and followers a joyful and peaceful Christmas season. He also gave religious facilities general information about the achievements in socioeconomic development of Binh Thuan province. Despite many difficulties under the situation of Covid-19 pandemic, the province’s estimated GRDP growth reached 4.5% in 2020, thanks to joint efforts of leaders, officials and people from all walks of life, including the Catholic community.  He highly appreciated the remarkable contributions of Catholic bishops, priests and followers over the past time. He hoped that the religious dignitaries would continue promoting their roles in mobilizing Catholic followers to join emulation movements and the campaign of the whole people unite to build cultural life in residential areas; well implement the Party’s guidelines, the State’s policies and laws to contribute to developing economy and building up the homeland more prosperous and civilized.

Catholic priests, on behalf of the Catholic community in Binh Thuan, expressed deep gratitude to the province’s leaders for their Christmas visit and wishes, as well as the care and support of authorities of all levels in improving material and spiritual lives of Catholic followers, vowing that the Catholic dignitaries and followers would continue promoting their responsibilities for uniting followers to contribute to the province’s general development.

On the same day, a delegation of the provincial Committee for Vietnam Fatherland Front led by chairwoman Bo Thi Xuan Linh made a trip to Tanh Linh district to visit and wish merry Christmas to Catholic facilities and families in the locality.

Mrs. Bo Thi Xuan Linh, on behalf of the provincial Committee for Vietnam Fatherland Front, wished the Catholic community in Tanh Linh a happy Christmas season. She also informed Catholic facilities in Tanh Linh about the results of the provincial Party Congress (tenure 2020-2025) and some outstanding socioeconomic achievements of Binh Thuan province in 2020.

Over the past year, Catholic followers in Tanh Linh district in particular and in Binh Thuan province in general have strictly implemented preventive measures against Covid-19 pandemic, actively donated money and materials to the fund in prevention of Covid-19 pandemic. They have also contributed to the funds in support of flood-hit residents in the central provinces.

The provincial Military Headquarters on December 21 arranged a delegation led by Colonel Le Van Hoi- deputy political commissar to visit and extend Christmas greetings to Phan Thiet Catholic Diocese, Cathedral Church (Phan Thiet), Thanh Hai Parish (Phan Thiet) and  Hoa Vinh Parish (Ham Thuan Nam district).

Colonel Le Van Hoi warmly congratulated the Catholic Bishops, Priests and followers on Christmas day and the upcoming  New Year 2021. He emphasized that the province’s armed forces always respect people’s freedom of belief and religion, and always create the solidarity with people in all localities. He expressed his strong desire that the Catholic dignitaries and followers in the province would continue taking part in social activities and charity programs to contributing to the socioeconomic development of the Catholic community.

Catholic Bishops, Priest expressed their thankfulness for the provincial Military Headquarters’ Christmas wishes and gifts, saying that they would continue preserving and developing close relationship and coordination between the Catholic people with people’s armed forces, especially in building solidarity houses and compassion houses for needy people.  

On December 22, a delegation led by Mr. Dang Hong Sy-member of the provincial Standing Party Committee –head of the provincial Party Committee’s Commission for Mass Mobilization visited and extended Christmas wishes to representative board of the Evangelical Church of Vietnam (the Southern) in Binh Thuan province.

During the visit, Mr. Dang Hong Sy introduced a general review about the province’s socioeconomic achievements 2020 and a number of major projects in Binh Thuan in 2020. He emphasized that achievements in all aspects came from joint efforts and contributions of the authorities at all levels, departments, organization, and the whole people, including Protestants in the locality. Mr. Sy hoped that the representative board of Evangelical Church of Vietnam (the South) would promote its role in encouraging followers to boost economic development and actively engage in patriotic emulation movements, the Party’s guidelines, the State’s policies and laws…

On that occasion, he presented gifts and flowers with Merry Christmas congratulations to the representative board of the Evangelical Church of Vietnam (the South) in Binh Thuan.Pastor Nguyen Van Hoang- head of the representative board of Evangelical Church of Vietnam (the South) in Binh Thuan showed his thankfulness for the province’s care and support, sharing that he would continue mobilizing Protestant followers to take part in campaigns and movements launched in the locality.
