Province’s leader visited, presented gifts Buddhist Sangha on Vu Lan Festival

BTO- Mr. Huynh Thanh Canh- Standing Deputy secretary of the provincial Party committee cum head of the provincial steering committee for religious work on August 12 led a delegation to pay visit and congratulate the provincial Buddhist Sangha’s Executive Board on the occasion of Buddhist Vu Lan Festival 2019.

The delegation also included representative leaders of the provincial People’s Council, People’s Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Committee for Mass Mobilization, and Religious board (directly under the department of Home Affairs).

Mr. Canh presented flowers and gifts, wished Buddhist monks, nuns and followers good health, peace and success in life, and wished Buddhist community to celebrate a cozy Vu Lan festival. He also appreciated the role and contribution of the whole Buddhist monks, nuns and followers in the province to the national unity bloc, as well as socioeconomic development in the locality. Deputy Secretary Huynh Thanh Canh expressed his hope that Buddhist dignitaries actively cooperate with local authorities in mobilizing Buddist monks, nuns and followers to better implement the Party’s guidelines, the State’s policies and laws, better perform national unity work to contribute to building the homeland more and more prosperous. Most Venerable Thich Minh Nhat-head of the provincial Buddhist Sangha's  Executive Board, on behalf of monks, nuns and Buddhist followers, showed his thankfulness for the leader’s congratulations on the Vu Lan Festival, as well as the  care for the spiritual and material life of Buddhist community in the province. At the same time, he shared that the provincial Buddhist Sangha would continue encourage Buddhist followers to well execute the Party’s policies and State’s laws, as well as further engage in patriotic movements.
