Binh Thuan has 3,133 operational enterprises

Amid many challenges and obstacles facing global and domestic economic situation during the first half of this year, business and production activities in Binh Thuan have gained favourable results thanks to many supports and policies of local and central governments, as well as timely assistance of functional ministries, departments. As of the end of June, 2016, the province has as many as 4,590 enterprises with a total registered capital of VND 49,261 billion. In which, there have been 260 newly-established businesses with a total capital amounted to VND 1,478 billion.  The rate of industry and services has increased while agro-forestry-fishery and construction sectors have slipped in the province’s economic structure. In the the past 6 months, there have been 41 and 71 enterprises dissolved (a drop of 20 percent) and suspended operation (raising by 34.62 percent compared with the same period of 2015) in succession.

Among 3,113   businesses operating , 1,845 companies (59.27 percent) have made profits, a year-on-year increase of  0.07 percent, 117 breakeven businesses (accounting for 3.76 percent and decreasing by 1.68 percent over the same period last year, 1,151 have suffered losses (making up 36.97 percent of the total and increasing by 2.6 percent compared with the corresponding period of 2015.

The provincial People’s Committee has directed departments, branches, agencies and lower authorities to actively give support to small and medium-sized enterprises, facilitating their access to the central government’s policies; improve investment environment to solve difficulties for local businesses; well implement one-stop-shop mechanism in solving administrative procedures to reduce inconvenience, costs and time for enterprises; promptly give legal aids and propaganda to local businesses; deploy tax policies in favour of businesses… Over the first six months of the year, the development of small and medium-sized  enterprises in Binh Thuan has made noteworthy process. In particular, the number of businesses operating after making registration has considerably increased compared to low percentage of firms dissolved and suspended operation. More and more firms get profits and improve business efficiency, contributing to ensuring stable jobs and livings of labour forces, as well as making remarkable contributions to socioeconomic development in the locality.
