Binh Thuan urges to deploy all-out efforts to prevent and counter the Covid-19 pandemic

BTO – As the Lunar New Year is approaching nearer and nearer, students and workers from other provinces and cities are returning to Binh Thuan to celebrate the Tet holiday with their families. Such great travel threatens the risks of Covid-19 spread among the community. In light of the complicated situation of the Covid-19 epidemic in some localities, Chairman of Binh Thuan provincial People’s Committee Le Tuan Phong has requested all departments and agencies to heighten alarms to combat the Covid-19 pandemic, as below:

Firstly, Chairmen of the city, districts, and town are asked to establish a Medical Examination team at the district level; to inspect the implementation of epidemic prevention and control at commune levels; to resolutely fine cases of not wearing masks in public places such as Supermarket, shops, post office, railway stations, bus stations, etc.

At the same time, they are asked to increase the frequency of propaganda in many forms, including loudspeaker at least 3 times per day, focusing on times when people are at home such as: after work, in every late morning and late afternoons; Besides, the mobile propaganda division must go through all routes in the areas so that all returned ex-pats must actively declare their health status to the local authorities. People are calling upon inspection and monitoring their residential areas, reporting cases of returning home from epidemic-ravaged areas to the authorities.

Secondly, the Department of Transport has to work with all transport household businesses to report daily lists of passengers returning from other provinces.

Thirdly, the Provincial Military Command is in charge of coordinating with other departments of Departments and Localities to check concentrated quarantine areas, preparing for all necessary conditions for quarantined people (if any).

Fourthly, the Department of Education and Training are urged to review and grasp lists of students studying at Thu Dau Mot University (Binh Duong province) and at epidemic areas (traveling time and bus route to the province). Those will be medically tested and monitored as regulation.

Fifthly, the People’s Committee of Phan Thiet City is assigned to set up plans and make specific reports on preventive measures against Covid-19 in all activities of Tet holiday (Flower Road, Flower Fair, etc). Those must be submitted to the provincial CDC ahead of February 5th, 2021 for consideration.

Sixthly, all members of the Steering committees are assigned to keep track of the assigned areas for supervision, checking, monitoring the work of Covid-19 prevention and combat.

All the above-mentioned urgent tasks must be implemented right on Feb 3rd, 2021.
