BTO- In the first half of 2016, the provincial Study Encouragement Association and the provincial steering board of the campaign “Giving strength to poor students” have mobilized VND 13 billion in support of poor students with difficult circumstances, thereby preventing students from dropping out of school. As of now, the fundraising of study encouragement association at all levels has fulfiled nearly VND 34.5 billion, a year-on-year increase of VMD 1.9 billion. Basing on the fund, 5,847 scholarships tantamount to over VND 4 billion were granted to poor studious students in the province. At the same time, 20,356 scholarships were given to poor students, along with 49,000 scholarships offered to students and teachers with good teaching and learning achievements. Besides, the study encouragement funds have also spent VND 460 million totally in support of repairs in many schools....
In the same period, 52 clans and 179 wards/hamlets have registered for building “Studious clans” and “studying community” models.
