Van Cong Thoi - Director of the Binh Thuan Department of Science and Technology - gave a brief description of Binh Thuan’s socio-economic situations; especially, research and development in the field of science and technology. He has expressed a desire to cooperate with the Liège University.
With the achievements of research capabilities and international cooperation, Professor Eric Haubruge - Vice Chancellor of Liège University expressed to be ready to cooperate with Binh Thuan in the field of agriculture.
The two sides agreed that the Liège will support Binh Thuan on research of Scytalidium dimidiatum on dragon fruits and treatment of dragon fruit branches which are cut down.
During this mission, the delegation had a survey at several dragon fruit plantations and investigation on aquatic invasive species in Hoa Thang commune (Bac Binh district). Thereby, it is a good opportunity for international cooperation research, contribution to the province’s socio-economic development.
