Province’s leader congratulates medical staffs on Vietnamese Doctors’ Day

 BTO- Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Nguyen Manh Hung on February 23 hosted a meeting with the province’s medical staffs to mark the 63rd anniversary of Vietnamese Doctors’ Day (February 27).

In 2017, medical sector has made efforts to accomplish and overfulfill its plans and assigned targets. Preventive measures have been effectively deployed to control the outbreak of infectious diseases and maintain food hygiene and safety in the locality. The quality of medical check-ups and treatment at health care units in the province have been improved. Medical ethics have been enhanced, contributing to boosting patients’ satisfaction.

At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung extended congratulations to medical officials and employees, wished them good health to make efforts in improving their medical ethics and profession to better take care of people’s health. At the same time, Mr. Hung asked the medical authorities to pay more attention to preventive health care, inspections on food hygiene and safety as well as human resources. He urged local medical facilities to boost self-finance mechanism and state management.

On that occasion, one unit received “Emulation Flag” awarded by the provincial People’s Committee. Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee also presented certificates of merit to 19 medical units with their outstanding achievements. 64 collectives achieved the title “Excellent Labor Collective” and 6 persons gained the title “Emulation soldier at provincial level”.

Binh Thuan culled over 30 thousands of pigs due to African swine fever

BTO- As many as 30,300 farmed pigs infected with African swine fever (ASF), or over 2,000 tons, was culled by August 19th, according to the Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs. Accordingly, the ASF affected to 1,287 livestock households in 31 wards/communes and 6 districts across the province.
