Three Vietnamese universities listed in THE Asia University Rankings 2020

Three Vietnamese universities have been listed in the Times Higher Education (THE) magazine’s Asia University Rankings 2020, which were released on June 3.

Accordingly, Vietnam National University – Hanoi stood in the 201st-250th group, the Hanoi University of Science and Technology was in the 251st-300th section, and Vietnam National University - Ho Chi Minh City is listed outside the top 400.

The three universities were named among the Emerging Economies University Rankings 2020, which were announced by the magazine in February this year, for the first time.

The Asia University Rankings 2020 attracts nominations from nearly 500 institutions from 30 countries and territories worldwide.

The rankings use the same 13 performance indicators as the THE World University Rankings, but they are recalibrated to reflect the attributes of Asia’s institutions.

The universities are judged across all their core missions – teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook – in order to provide the most comprehensive and balanced comparisons available.
