Festival in honor of 20 ethnic and religious youth following Uncle Ho’s
teachings
BTO-The
provincial Ho Chi Minh Communist youth Union Branch and provincial Committee of
Vietnam Youth Federation held a ceremony in praise of typical ethnic and
religious youth following Uncle Ho’s teachings and launch the contest “Talented
youth from ethnic and religious areas”.

The
event was organized on Thursday evening (June 11), with the attendance of Mr.
Duong Van An- deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Mrs Le Thi
Bich Lien and Mr. Tran Sinh Toan- Secretary and deputy Secretary of the
provincial Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union branch, representatives of
departments, agencies and organizations. This is one of activities in the
framework of the festival of ethnic and religious youth- Binh Thuan 2020, which
took place in 2 days (June 11&12), with the participation of 200 youth union
members, who joined many meaningful programs, such as:
sports exchanges, folk games, culinary contest, displaying specific products of
ethnic minorities… according Mr. Tran Sinh Toan, deputy secretary of the
provincial Ho Chi minh Communist Youth Union Branch, the festival is an annual
event with the aim to encouraging and rewarding youth from ethnic groups and
religious areas, who have made outstanding achievements in youth union work and
youth movements; disseminating typical models of advanced youth of ethic
monorities and religions in Binh Thuan province.
At the
ceremony, the organizers commended 20 prominent youth of ethnic minorites and
religions for their good behavior and morality, beautiful life style, good
health and zeal, and be exemplary in youth movements in their units/ localities.
On that
occasion, the standing committee of the provincial Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth
union Branch launched its assistance for 2 youth’s economic models, which
support ethnic youth in Dong Giang and La Da communes (Ham Thuan Bac district)
in economic development and living standards improvement.
