Binh Thuan: Over 500 schools sprayed with disinfectant to combat coronavirus

 BTO – Binh Thuan provincial Center for Disease Control (CDC) started disinfecting hundreds of schools across the province in a bid to sanitize classrooms and teaching facilities on February 3rd afternoon. The first cleaning progress began with Tran Hung Dao gifted high school, covering a total area of 18,000 square meters with 144 rooms (including classrooms, libraries, dormitories, and canteen).

Hitherto, as many as 500 schools across the province have made efforts to clean their facilities, teaching equipment, toys, lobbies and playgrounds with disinfectant spray on February 4th as a way of fighting against the potential spread of such contagious coronavirus from Wuhan, China.

An estimated of 2 tons of chemicals shall be used for this cleaning time. The CDC is responsible for distributing the disinfectant to schools inside the city, as well as giving instructions on mixing and spraying it as prescribed, said Doctor Che Ngoc Thach – Dean of the Parasitology & Entomology faculty of the provincial CDC.

Otherwise, medical stations at districts take charge of spraying disinfectant on the entire schools from kindergartens, primary and secondary schools.
