10,920  students in Binh Thuan ready for 2020 national high school graduation exam

BTO- Nearly 11.000 students  in Binh Thuan are going to sit for the 2020 national high school graduation exam, which is scheduled for August 9&10. According to Mr, Phan Doan Thai, director of department of Education and Training, preparation for material facilities, human force has been reinforced to create the best conditions for a safe, serious and successful exam with the highest results. This year’s exam is organized late due to the adjustments of 2019-2020 academic year’s timeline due to the impact of Covid-19 pandemic

Examination council of Binh Thuan province was established with 26 exam venues located in high schools across the province, 168 examination officials and 395 people who are in charge of ensuring security (policemen), candidates’ health (medical workers), ensuring power supply … for the exam’s venues.

Students of 12th grade have carefully reviewed their knowledge and are preparing good conditions in both mental and physical health for their most important exam.

In order to facilitate candidates, especially those from the island district of Phu Quy and mountainous areas, department of Education and Training has arranged free housing at dormitory of Tran Hung Dao gifted high school in Phan Thiet city for students of Ngo Quyen high school (Phu Quy district). Transport sector has issued detailed plans to direct transport companies to assist students’ travelling during the exam. Education sector has mobilized its affiliates, enterprises, organizations and individuals to join hands in supporting students with difficult circumstances (children of ethnic minority households and policy-favoured families, students with disabilities, and those from extremely difficult areas…)

Department of Culture-Sports and Tourism has mobilized tourist accommodations to give students 30%-50% discounts on room prices and provide a number of free-of-charge rooms in support of poor students.

Under the directions of Central government, Ministry of Health and provincial People’s Committee on COVID-19 prevention and control, department of Education and Training has strictly deployed a number of measures to ensure epidemiological hygine at every exam venues, such as: sanitizing exam rooms, arranging body temperature meters and hand-washing areas with fertilizer, providing candidates with face masks …, and each exam venue has prepared at least 3 rooms backup for urgent cases.
