Various Sporting events and cultural activities in celebration of 2020 New Year

BTO – A wide range activities will be held in the upcoming time to mark the 90th Founding anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam – CPV (February 3rd, 1930-2020), the Solar New Year and Lunar New Year festivals. Notably, the “Countdown festival” on the night of December 31st at Doi Duong Park (Phan Thiet city) will be observed by Golden Partner Company.

Sporting events will be held to welcome New Year festival

The sporting and cultural activities aim to serve for locals and visitors during the waiting time for New Year’s Eve and firework display along the area of Phan Thiet water tower and the provincial Convention center. Additionally, Tet art shows performed by Bien Xanh dance troupe will reappear the ethnic minorities’ traditions on Tet celebration.

On the occasion of Lunar New Year 2020, the provincial Department of Culture, Sport and Tourism, will host Springtime Magazine exhibition, Cham dances, ethnic fashion show, pottery-making, brocade-weaving, folk games, etc. to serve visitors and locals during the spring time.

The locality also keeps hosting traditional sporting events, including: boat racing, sand dunes running, mountain climbing, kite-surfing, etc.

To ensure a safe, peaceful and healthy Tet festival for all people, as well as to lure many more investors to the locality, the DoCST has stepped up propaganda activities through visual signs and posters along the main streets. On the other hand, the authorities set strict regulations to handle with social evils and disorder threatening tourists and locals’ safety during the holidays.
