Leader visits Buddhist establishments on Vesak Day 2018

BTO-Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Duong Van An on May 28 led a delegation of representative leaders of  the provincial People’s Council, People’s Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front, Party Committee’s Committee for Mass Mobilization,  Department of Internal Affairs, Committee for Religious Affairs to paid a visit and extended congratulations to the provincial Executive Committee of Buddhist Sangha and Phat An pagoda on the 2,562nd birthday of Lord Buddha.   

At the visited site, Mr. An highly appreciated enormous efforts of local Buddhist Sangha’s Executive Committee on the implementation of Buddhists affairs. Over the past time, Buddhist monks, nuns and followers in Binh Thuan province have always promoted the spirit of living in a “good life and good religion”, made remarkable contributions to socioeconomic development in the locality, well implemented the Party’s policies and State’s laws. He expressed his hope that the provincial Executive Committee of Buddhist Sangha would continue engaging in patriotic emulation movements and activities of social welfare in favour of the poor to build a solid national unity bloc.

Mr. An, on behalf of the province’s leaders, warmly sent hist best wishes to Buddhist dignitaries, monks, nuns and followers in the province to celebrate a happy and joyful Vesak day.

Most Venerable Thich Minh Nhat-head of the provincial Buddhist Sangha’s Executive Committee, expressed his deep thankfulness for the leaders’ attention to Buddhist practise. He pledged that the provincial Buddhist Sangha’s Executice Committee would keep on promoting the Buddhist’s traditional values in mobilizing monks, nuns and followers to take part in patriotic emulation movements, charity activities, contributing to build up Binh Thuan become more developed and civilized.
