Connection between Vinh Tan 4 thermal Power Plant and national grid

BTO - The 500kV double circuit transmission line was connected Vinh Tan 4 thermal power plant by the southern Vietnam power project management board (SPMB) and related companies. It is considered as the accomplishment of connecting this plant to the national grid, which is ready for power supply (unit 2). Its length is 1,293 meters, from the Vinh Tan 4 plant to the 500kv Vinh Tan substation, expansion of 500 kV feeder at the substation

 Formerly, the first electric circle was connected to supply power for unit 1. The project has been implemented by Vietnam Electric – National Power Transmission Corporation (EVN NPT), with a total investment of nearly 100 billion VND. On behalf of EVN NPT, SPMB will manage the project. Power Engineering Consultation Company No. 2 (PECC2) is responsible for project design. Song Da 11 Thang Long One member limited liability Company is responsible for project implementation. Power Transmission Company No. 3 will take over the project management and operation after its completion.

Together with the other 500kV transmission line in the region, the mentioned line will transmit capacity of power plants in Vinh Tan Power Centre to the load centre in Ho Chi Minh city and South Eastern area. It also creates a 500kV linkage among regions in power system.
