Children in outlying areas welcome early mid autumn festival

BTO- With the purpose of bringing children in mountainous and remote areas a warm and joyful mid-autumn season, charity groups and organizations inside and outside Binh Thuan province held meaningful events for children to celebrate early full-moon festival

A cultural program entitled “Trung thu yeu thuong” (Mid-Autumn of compassion) was co-organized by Ho Chi Minh city’s Voluntary Charity group and Ham Thuan Bac district’s Ho Chi Minh coummunist Youth Union in Dong Giang commune (Ham Thuan Bac district) on September 16. Over 1,000 local children were enjoyful with many interesting events including dance & songs, games, circusconjurer’s tricks  and lion dances. Besides 1,000 gifts for 1,000 children, over VND 45 million was granted to 83 students of primary and secondary schools in support of their study costs at the beginning of the new school year.

On the same day, disadvantaged children in Da Mai 2 hamlet- Tan Xuan commune (Ham Tan district) joined a special program in celebration of the upcoming Mid-(Tổng hợp tin vui trung thu của trẻ em vùng cao)

Autumn festival. At the event, held by local youth union branch and Dong Cam charity foundation, hundreds of gifts with confectionary, bottled milk and lanterns were presented. Children also enjoyed a cultural show imbued with full-moon festival with stories of “Chu Cuoi” (the Moon Man) and “Hang Nga”(the Moon Lady), traditional folk games.
