Previously, the Vietnam futsal team won the fair play award following their impressive performance at the 2016 FIFA Futsal World Cup.
Vietnam only received four yellow cards during four matches and they earned a ticket to compete in the round of 16 of the event.
Vietnam beat Guatemala 4-2 and lost to Paraguay and Italy 1-7 and 0-2 in the group round. In the round of 16, Vietnam lost to Russia 0-7.
Vietnam’s futsal team are fully preparing to compete at the Southeast Asian tournament, which is scheduled to take place in Thailand on October 31-November 11.
