The event has attracted thousands of visitors and local residents, who flocked to the Thay Thim palace for pilgrimage and worship. Apart from the rite of “Nghinh than” and the procession to bring the Decree from the tombs of Thay and Thim to the temple, which are considered as the most important ceremonial events of the festival, many rituals and folk activities were performed to commemorate the merit of the ancestors over the past 150 years. Besides, the festival also provided visitors and local people with a series of sporting and cultural activities bearing the cultural characteristics of the coastal areas, such as: man-chess matches, Unicorn-Lion-Dragon dances, cross-country race… or the contests of arranging cake-towers, carrying coracles to the offshore, carrying fishes, tug of war, repairing fishing net, etc…
Coming to the Thay Thim palace, visitors and pilgrims also enjoyed local food specialities at food stalls, visited souvenir shops and participated in other amusement services. This year’s festival was organized to celebrate 19 years since the Thay Thim palace was recognized as a national historical-cultural relic and welcome the 21th anniversary of Binh Thuan Tourism Day.
Each year, more than 200,000 turns of people come to La Gi town for pilgrimage and worship at Thay Thim palace in combination with enjoying vacations in the nearby tourist attractions of Nganh Tam Tan and Doi Duong.
