Province’s leader received senior delegation from Cambodia

BTO-Vice chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Hoa on October 4th hosted a reception for a Cambodia’s senior delegation led by Lun Moniratana-Undersecretary of State-Ministry of Cults and Religion.

During the meeting, Hoa gave the guests a general introduction of Binh Thuan’s natural conditions and socioeconomic development situation, citing that the province possesses great potentialities and advantages for the development of many field, such as: tourism, agriculture, forestry, industry, agro-forestry-fishery processing, mineral manufacturing, renewable energies…. He shared that the Party and authorities at all levels in Binh Thuan province always pay attention to  the work relating to ethnic minority affairs and offer preferential policies to ethnic people. He emphasized that, ethnic minority affairs have been considered as one of the most important in the period of innovation. Practical policies in favour of ethnic communities in Binh Thuan have made positive changes in many aspects, as follows: economy, education, culture, health care, vocation training, infrastructures, trade and services, as well as poverty reduction. Material and spiritual living of people in ethnic minority areas have basically improved, social order, security  and political situation in mountainous and ethnic minority areas have been maintained and reinforced.

On behalf of the province’s leaders, Hoa expressed his hope that the all-round partnership between Vietnam and Cambodia would be strengthened. Binh Thuan, along with other localities in Vietnam will give the best contributions to the long-standing friendly relations of the two nations.

 Lun Moniratana thanked Hoa and representatives of Binh Thuan for their warm welcome, creating the best conditions for Cambodian delegates to visit and make exchanges in Binh Thuan province. He highly appreciated the development of Vietnam in general and Binh Thuan province in particular. He also gave an overview of religions and concerning policies in Cambodia.
