BTO –At the 10th WTF World Taekwondo Championships 2016, which took place in Lima (Peru) from September 24 to October 4, 2016, Vietnam Taekwondo squad with 24 athletes won 9 medals (2 gold, 4 silver and 3 bronze medals). Of which, athletes from Binh Thuan (sisters Nguyen Thi Le Kim and Nguyen Thi Kim Ha) made significant contribution with 1 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze medal in total.

In particular, Kim won two silver medals in the categories of Poomsae Teams Female and Freestyle Poomsae Teams Female while Ha bagged 1 gold medal in Freestyle Poomsae Team Female and one bronze medal at the Poomsae team Female under 17.
Ha is a young martial artist of Binh Thuan who earned a world-class gold medal at the age of 16.
