Eleven months of 2020: Over 208,960 foreign tourists to Phan Thiet

BTO – More than 208,960 foreigners have visited the coastal city of Phan Thiet, a decrease of nearly 392,550 ones compared to that of last year, according to the 2020 Statistics. The shrink came from the impact of Covid-19 pandemic as the foreigners have to declare health reports and be quarantined as regulations.

Also due to the epidemic, there are not any international conferences, workshops or agreements held in the locality in the year. All foreign relations activities focused on monitoring and managing the foreigners to the city for living, sightseeing and working in the city.

The People’s committee of Phan Thiet city has urged the Public security Division to keep full track of foreigners who are living and working in the locality. Those strict management activities aims to limit arose issues concerning to foreigners, contributing to maintaining the municipal security and order.
