Dragon fruit flavored bread unveils in Phan Thiet

BTO – Kao Sieu Luc, nicknamed “King” of bread, is the first person who comes up with the idea of using dragon fruit to make bread in Ho Chi Minh City. His ideas came by chance for the purpose of rescuing the slump of dragon fruit due to the impact of Covid-19 recently.

Mr. Luc honestly shared the special bread-making recipe to the public so that many more bakeries can partake in consuming dragon fruit in the face of its risks of dumping.  Unexpectedly, the King’s dragon-fruit bread are received good responds from crowded of Sagoneers as they don’t hesitate to queue a long line to buy the loaf.

In common with Mr.Luc’s ideas, the owner of Thanh Thuy bakery, situated in 541 Tran Hung Dao Street - Phan Thiet city, has churned out their first batches of dragon-fruit bread to timely save the local dragon fruit growers and enterprises to the verge of bankruptcy.

Customers can see a variety of bread made from red-fleshed dragon fruit in various shapes and sizes with the prices ranging from VND 5,000 to 10,000 per loaf. Thanks to its naturally sweet, aromatic and a little bit fatty flavors, such bread are absolutely special and different from other types of sweet bread.

Mr. Tran Phuc Thuan – owner of Thanh Thuy Bakery stated that: He started producing dragon fruit bread from February 14th. Since those following days, his bread is always in the status of “sold-out” as the bread is highly complimented. He expects the local bakeries enhance the production of dragon fruit bread so that local farm products can be consumed in a large quantity.
