Binh Thuan: Rice allowance brought to Covid-19-affected people

BTO- The provincial People’s Committee on August 25 promulgated a plan on receiving rice from the State Reserves for distribution to households facing difficulties due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Accordingly, more than 4,000 tons of rice will be allocated to underprivileged people in 9 districts/cities/towns (excepting Phu Quy island district). With monthly support of 15 kilos for each people in households, the total amount of rice allocated to each locality is basing on the number of affected people and households. In particular, 856,620 kg for Phan Thiet city (57,108 people), 1,281,285 kg for La Gi town (85,419 people), 518,235 kg for Tuy Phong district (34,549 people), 174,765 kg for Bac Binh district (11,651 people), 240,285 kg for Ham Thuan Bac district (16,019 people), 439,110 kg for Ham Thuan Nam district (29,274 people), 116,040 kg for Ham Tan district (7,763 people), 231,360 kg for Tanh Linh district (15,424 people), 160,785 kg for Tanh Linh district (10,719 people.

The provincial People’s Committee requested authorities of those localities to carry out rice distribution to beneficiaries right after receiving rice from the national rice reserves. The allocation must be completed before September 15.
