Nearly 2,000 athletes partook in “2020 New Year’s Running Day”

BTO - As many as 2,000 cadres, civil servants, armed forces and students in Phan Thiet city participated in the “2020 New Year’s Running Day” held by Binh Thuan Provincial People’s committee. Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party committee Duong Van An opened the ceremony and ran along with athletes.

After a brief opening ceremony, two thousand athletes started running from Vo Van Kiet park’s gate, passing through streets of Vo Van Kiet, Nguyen Gia Tu, Truong Han Sieu, Tuyen Quang, etc. The total running distance was over 1,000 meters.

The “New Year’s Running Day” aims at encouraging mass of people to do exercises regularly, responding and promoting the movement “The whole people do physical training following Great Uncle Ho’s sample”, contributing to improving people’s health to serve for the process of learning, working, manufacturing, building and protecting the country.
