Binh Thuan takes action against storm Nakri

BTO – Binh Thuan is affected by the sixth typhoon from the East Sea this year. The storm’s winds is as strong as level 8, is moving on the East Sea with complicated direction. 

The authorities and People of Binh Thuan province are putting all efforts to fight against the storm, limiting the damages to minimum.

Reportedly, the eye of Storm Nakri was about 310km north-northeast of Vietnam’s Song Tu Tay island under Truong Sa (Spratly) Archipelago, with the strongest winds near the storm’s eye expected to reach level 8-10 on early morning of November 6th.  Over the next 24 hours, the storm moves slowly to the east at a speed of 5km per hour and is likely to become stronger. And, it is expected to gain the strongest winds up to level 11-13 on November 9th, according to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Foresting (NCHMF).

Binh Thuan has urged the whole fishing ships to find safe shelters, as well as warning the locals and tourists not to swim before, during and after the storm.
